CITADEL ‘Courage’ Event

An evening hosted by Citadel on 22 August as a celebration of ‘all that is bold and beautiful’ about South Africa’s dynamic business women and those who have displayed courage in creating and driving successful businesses. Elzette du Preez of De Grendel described her adventures as the winemaker in, traditionally, a man’s industry. Jenny le Roux shed some light on starting up her own business, after saying goodbye to her happy job at Fairlady magazine in her mid forties and starting Habits. And Kirsten delighted, ‘wowed’ and inspired the audience with her description of naievite and ‘chutzpa’ which led her into situations which opened remarkable opportunities. The night was truly inspirational and encouraged women to take the courage to begin their own journey – both professionally and financially.

Hosted by Citadel and Kirsten Smit
Venue: Ottimo Cibo in Bishops Court – owner and chef Nikki Booth
Joined by: Jenny le Roux of Habits and Elzette du Preez (winemaker at De Grendel)
