ss/12 collection – backstage action

we know that you’re all as desperate to get a glimpse of the upcoming collections as we are, so we got ourselves into stealth mode and papped some sneaky snaps of the action  happening around the durban studio. I think one things for sure, this is going to be a  incrediblly inspired collection – now we’ve just got to count down to launch day!! in the meantime here’s some juicy stuff to whet the palette …

african tribal chic: a strong, colour and form led story, all about the impact of jewellery and print combined. expect some show-stopping neckpieces and sculptural metal work.

story 1 - african chic

inspired - this collection is set to be bold and organic with plenty of unexpected forms and bright combinations or natural stones.

kirsten dusts of some of her graduate designs for inspiration with ‘african tribal’ chic in mind
graduate designs

kirsten uses some of her graduate pieces to inspire new designs for the ss/12 collections

geo-metric: a collection dominated by playful negative shape. the lines of these designs will perhaps be more sharply defined than kirsten’s more usual organic forms, but the attention to detail on the finish, constrasting polished with textured, is a sure fire give-away
story 2 - geo-metric
gone are the classic organic lines from collections gone by and in their place are the chic, angular designs of this edgy collection.

geo-metric designs
simple forms make up this ‘geo-metric’ design layout – will it be a pendant, an earring or both?
