the natural oils of your skin can dull the sparkle of the stones with frequent wear. to restore their original brilliance, wash your jewels regularly with diluted dishwashing liquid and a soft brush in warm water, and dry well afterwards.

for any pieces with sterling silver, we recommend the use of a silver cloth to maintain the shine.

perfumes, hairsprays, detergents and other strong chemicals can cause detrimental effects to some gemstones and glass. if possible, refrain from using these on or near you jewellery.

according to the universally accepted moh’s hardness scale, a gemstone has a relative hardness between 1 and 10 (1 being talc and 10 being a diamond). stones with a hardness of less than 8 are vulnerable to scratching if worn excessively or if they connect with the surfaces harder than themselves. please be aware of this when you wear any jewellery – the more care you take, the longer your jewels will remain as beautiful as the day you bought them.

kirsten goss jewellery is made using only the finest quality, hand-sourced materials from reputable dealers around the world. we only use nickel free materials and all our chain and earring tops are either 100% sterling silver or 18ct gold (exceptions may apply for specific design purposes, which will be stated).
